Global Open Call · Creators Worldwide

We’re building a film made of
the whole world.

The Mosaic Way is an experimental feature about identity — the idea that every person is a mosaic, and every tile is a piece of life we’ve lived. We can’t film the whole world ourselves. So we’re inviting creators everywhere to help build it.

Open now through 30 November 2026 · Premiere 2027

What we’re collecting

Work in any form — video, photography, music, words, or visual art — through the eyes of an individual.

Choose one or more themes below. Be symbolic, be specific, be true to your corner of the world. Drawn from the books The Mosaic Way and The Mosaic Leader.

Who we are

  • Culture & heritage
  • Faith & spirit
  • Language
  • Family & lineage
  • Love & relationships
  • The body & self
  • Home, migration & belonging

What shapes us

  • Grief & loss
  • Survival & resilience
  • Trauma & healing (symbolic)
  • Injustice & dignity
  • Joy & celebration
  • Transformation

How we connect & lead

  • Emotional Integrity
  • Cultural Flexibility
  • Identity Agility
  • Everyday connection

One guiding spirit: wherever it fits — especially in video — let us feel the world through the eyes of one person. That thread runs through the whole film.

Five ways to contribute

Add your tile in whatever form is yours — submit to one category or several.

Video & Footage

Submit original video footage or a completed short film that captures life through the eyes of an individual — roughly 3–5 minutes. Raw footage and finished edits are both welcome. Selected submissions may be incorporated into The Mosaic Way feature film.

Photography

Submit original photography that captures a meaningful moment, person, place, culture, or experience from your corner of the world. Single images or photo series (up to 10 images) are welcome.

Original Music & Sound

Submit original music, score, soundscape, or vocal compositions that reflect the human experience and may be considered for inclusion in The Mosaic Way film. All music must be original and owned by the contributor.

Words & Voice

Submit original poetry, reflections, spoken word, personal narratives, or short written works that explore identity, culture, resilience, leadership, connection, or transformation. Submissions may appear on screen or be incorporated into narration.

Visual Art & Illustration

Submit original artwork, digital art, paintings, illustrations, mixed media, or graphic designs that explore identity, culture, resilience, leadership, human connection, or transformation. Selected works may appear within the film, promotional materials, exhibitions, or companion projects.

Content & safeguarding policy

Please read this carefully.

This film honors real human experience, including hard experiences. To do that with care — and to protect you, the people in your work, and the film — these rules are absolute:

  • Sensitive themes are symbolic, never literal. Trauma and abuse may be evoked only through symbol, aftermath, or a survivor’s perspective — never the act, and never real footage of a real victim.
  • No minors in any sexual or abusive context — zero exceptions. Any footage of children must be non-exploitative and have parent/guardian consent.
  • Consent is required. Every identifiable person must have given you permission to film and to use the footage.
  • Nothing graphic, exploitative, or unlawful — no graphic violence, gore, sexual or hate content.
  • It must be yours, with no copyrighted music or third-party material you don’t have rights to.

If your theme touches trauma, lead with dignity. The most powerful image is almost never the most graphic one.
